How do I choose the right career coach for a mid-life career change?

Look for someone who's lived it, not just studied it. You want a coach who can hold space for emotion and provide practical frameworks—soul and structure together.

Ask yourself:

• Do they speak in jargon or plain language?

• Do they make big transformation promises or offer honest, grounded support?

• Do they make you feel seen and respected in your first conversation or someone that needs to be fixed and managed?

• Can they provide structure and tools that don’t take over your whole life?

How is UnstuckJourney different from UnstuckClassic Coaching?

UnstuckJourney is more structured and time-bound—4 sessions over 4-8 weeks with a clear framework (the UnstuckBoard). I may ask leading questions or make suggestions to keep you moving forward. It's designed for people who want a clear roadmap, not open-ended exploration.

UnstuckClassic Coaching is ongoing, flexible support. Sessions are scheduled at your own pace (minimum 5 sessions) for deeper exploration and long-term transitions. It's more traditional coaching, where I hold space and asked open-ended questions that help you find your own answers.

What if I'm not sure which coaching option is right for me?

That's what the chemistry call is for. We'll spend 30 minutes talking about where you are and what you need, and I'll be honest about which approach I think will serve you best. No pressure, no sales pitch—just clarity.

Do you work with clients outside Singapore?

Yes. I work globally via video call. Most of my sessions are conducted remotely, which means location doesn't matter as long as we can find a time that works for both of us.

How long does it typically take to see results?

That depends on you and what you're working toward. Some clients experience clarity in the first few sessions. Others need time to experiment and build self-trust. This isn't about quick fixes, it's about sustainable alignment.

For UnstuckJourney specifically, the 4-8 week timeframe is designed to give you clarity, tools, and momentum so your journey can continue after our sessions finish.

What happens after our work together ends?

You'll have tools, frameworks, and practices to continue on your own. Many clients return for tune-up sessions when they hit new crossroads, but you won't be dependent on me. My goal is to be part of journey for however long that makes sense for you, but not for you to be dependent on me for your answers.

Do you offer refunds?

For UnstuckClassic Coaching, sessions are non-refundable but can be rescheduled with 48 hours notice. For UnstuckJourney, we can discuss terms during the chemistry call.

What if I need to reschedule a session?

Life happens, I get it. Please provide 48 hours notice. I'll do my best to accommodate your schedule.

CHANGE ADVISORY

What are the benefits of hiring a business change consultant for my organization?

The right consultant helps you see what you're too close to notice - where systems, people, and processes are misaligned. You get honest diagnoses of real problems, co-designed solutions your team actually owns, and follow-through during implementation.

Most importantly, you build internal capability so you're not dependent on consultants long-term. The investment pays off when change actually sticks and your people don't burn out in the process.

Do you work with startups or only established businesses?

I work with mid-size and scaling organizations—typically 50+ employees. If you're pre-revenue or very early stage, we're probably not the right fit yet.

What size engagement is typical?

Most engagements run 3-6 months with 15-20 days of work. But it depends on scope and complexity. We'll discuss this in our discovery conversation.

Do you work on-site or remotely?

Both. Many projects involve a mix: some days on-site for workshops and key conversations, other work done remotely. We'll design what makes sense for your context.

What if our leadership team isn't aligned on the need for change?

That's often where we start. Part of the diagnostic phase is creating alignment on what the real problems are and why addressing them matter. I can help you surface and navigate this.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes, most clients request this and I'm happy to accommodate.

What industries do you specialize in?

I've worked across multiple industries—financial services, technology, professional services, healthcare, education. The fundamentals of change (people, process, platforms) are universal. What matters more is your readiness to do real work.

How is this different from other change management consulting?

Most consultants bring strategy and frameworks then disappear. I stay through implementation. Most focus on process or people, not both. I bring soul and structure together. And I teach your team so they're not dependent on me long-term.

I'm willing to say "this won't work" to senior people. I explain complexity in simple terms. And I care as much about how change feels to your people as I do about whether it delivers results.

Can you help with specific issues like digital transformation or culture change?

Yes, but I always look at the whole system. "Digital transformation" or "culture change" are not successfully delivered or sustainable if they don’t look at the organization as a whole. They connect to how work gets done, how decisions are made, and whether people feel safe and respected.

I don't just address the symptoms. I help you understand and address the underlying root causes and misalignments so that change is lasting.

What happens if the change isn't working mid-project?

I'll tell you. That's part of the value. If something isn't landing or resistance is higher than expected, we adapt. This isn't about following a rigid plan, it's about getting to sustainable change.

What should I expect in a chemistry call?

For individuals (30 min): We'll talk about what's not working, what you've tried, and what "unstuck" would look and feel like for you. I'll share how I work and whether UnstuckClassic or UnstuckJourney makes sense. No pressure, just honest conversation about fit.

For corporate (30 min): We'll discuss where your business is stuck, what you've tried to fix it, what success would look like 6 months from now, and whether my approach fits your needs.

What's your cancellation/rescheduling policy?

Please provide 48 hours notice for cancellations or reschedules. I'll do my best to accommodate your schedule.

Do you offer payment plans?

Payment plans can be discussed during the chemistry/discovery call, especially for UnstuckJourney and corporate engagements.

How quickly will I hear back after booking?

I typically respond within 24-48 hours on weekdays. If you need urgent support, please mention that in your message.

APPROACH & PHILOSOPHY

What does "soul and structure" mean?

Soul = understanding what people need, holding space for emotions, respecting humanity.

Structure = practical frameworks, clear processes, actionable next steps.

Real change requires both. Most coaches focus on feelings without frameworks. Most consultants bring frameworks without heart. I bring both together.

What makes your approach different?

I've been in the trenches, lived the midlife crossroads, navigated toxic cultures, and worked on change initiatives that both succeeded and failed. I bring soul and structure. I teach in plain language, not jargon. My goal is to make myself unnecessary so you leave with tools to navigate your own path. And I only work with people ready for honest self-reflection and real change. Low drama, no egos, mutual respect.

Do you believe people are broken and need fixing?

No. I believe people have forgotten who they are underneath all the expectations and conditioning. I believe organizations have lost sight of how work should feel when it's aligned with human reality.

I don't fix people or businesses. I help them remember their Whys. I bring structure to hold the space and soul to honor the human underneath.

What if I'm not ready for change yet?

Then we're not the right fit right now. I work with people who are ready for honest conversations and real action. If you're still in the "thinking about it" phase, that's okay; wait until you're ready to do the work before booking a call.
